# Why wasn't I fully refunded for my booking?
If the amount you received is less than your booking's total price, it is typically for one of the following reasons:
- **The booking's cancellation policy**
Each activity has a specific cancellation policy that determines the refund amount based on how close to the date the cancellation is made. Your booking may have only been eligible for a partial refund according to its policy.
- **The activity duration was changed**
The refund for a shortened activity may not be proportional to the time reduced. This is because some activity providers offer a regressive pricing structure, where each additional day is cheaper than the previous one. In this case, your refund is the difference between the price you originally paid and the standard price for the activity's actual duration.
- **Non-refundable service fees**
The checkyeti service fee is generally non-refundable. Your refund likely covers the activity cost paid to the activity provider but does not include this fee.
